Korentsidis Ioannis

Ioannis Korentsidis was born in 1973 in Thessaloniki.

He is married to Anna Getsidou and is the father of two children, Anastasios and Theodosia, high school students, and lives in the beautiful city of Kastoria, situated on the northern borders of Greece.

He served in the Greek Army as a cadet officer of the artillery in the position of topographer. He has successfully fulfilled his military service in the rank of reserve lieutenant.

He studied Business Administration at ICBS Business College and speaks English and Italian.

He began his professional career in 1994 in the fur trade family business of the Korentsidis Brothers, established in 1959. Today, the company has been renamed Ikopel® Luxury Fur and participates in the most important international fur

exhibitions .          

In 2006, he was elected for the first time to the E.DI.KA S.A. (Exhibition – Auction Center of Kastoria) Board of Directors. In 2009, he was re-elected, earning the majority vote and assuming the position of Vice President from 2009 to 2012.

In November 2011, he was elected to the Kastoria Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, gaining the majority vote and assuming the position of the first Vice President on the Executive Committee of the Chamber from 2009 to December 2017.

In June of 2015, Mr. Korentsidis was elected to the Kastorian Fur Association Board of Directors, earning the majority vote and, by the unanimous decision of the Board members, he assumed the position of president. The Kastorian Fur Association, founded in 1915, is the major union in the fur trade and has organized the Kastoria International Fur Fair every year since 1976.

In 2017, the Kastoria International Fur Fair was accredited as a "UFI Approved International Event”. During his presidency, the Fur Shopping Festival was established, which has been successfully held for two years.

Furthermore, Mr. Korentsidis has participated in business delegations to various countries of the world and in business forums, with a presence in the European Parliament as well, regarding the development of international business expansion.
