6th EXPOTROF: Discover the taste of Greece
The established exhibition, returns dynamically for the sixth consecutive year with more participants, innovative proposals and plentiful parallel events. The 6th Exhibition of Food and Drinks EXPOTROF renews its appointment with the professionals of the branch of Food and Drinks along with all lovers of Greek Gastronomy. On February 1st the exhibition shall open its gates, until February 4th 2019, at the Olympic Centre of Fencing in Elliniko
The top food and drink exhibition, EXPOTROF insists… on the Greek way. Large Greek companies with a strong position in the domestic and the global market along with small producers will be given the chance to attend, to connect, to engage in constructive and advantageous agreements, to claim their own share in the love of the public, to add to their credit sales and to play a leading part in the biggest gastronomic celebration.
The 6th EXPOTROF honors the South Aegean region, which is the Gastronomic Region of Europe for 2019, by preparing a variety of gastronomic events. Participating companies from South Aegean will be given the opportunity to feature their land products of excellent quality and make them known both, in the Greek and in foreign markets. Moreover, South Aegean cuisine friends will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic, high quality products, traditional recipes from the Aegean islands along with other gastronomic surprises by the Aegean cuisine
“Bio Corner”, a thematic unit, will be introduced in order to present certified biological products. Since the demand for natural and biological products constantly rises EXPOTROF proudly reveals the purest biological products and the inexhaustible gastronomic treasures that the Greek land has tucked away. The visitors will have the chance to try and buy unique products exclusively through the exhibition.

Argiro Barbarigou, the beloved and award winner chef will attend as EXPOTROF’s new ambassador, the event “We cook Greece”. Every single day of the exhibition, Argiro Barbarigou, accompanied with distinguished Chefs and well established Clubs of Head Chefs, will prepare inspired recipes in order to reveal cooking art’s secrets along with specialties of different countries.
Unique flavors, scents, inspiration, discipline and continuous effort will be the “stars” in the kitchen of the 4th PanHellenic Cooking Competition “Greek Chef 2019, which will be reified in cooperation with Crete’s Chef Club. Within its context, local products and the Mediterranean diet will be presented, while the rising star chefs shall be designated. Moreover, the fact that distinguished Greeks chefs will be in the critical committee, in combination with the high level of competitors ensure the success of competition placing tally the benchmark for unique gastronomic creations.
EXPOTROF Masterclass, one of the exhibitions newcomers, is designed to highlight excellent Greek products to professionals and friends of gastronomy. With the valuable contribution of famous chefs, sommelier and tasters, visitors will be able to choose among the Cheese & Wine Masterclass, Cold cuts & Beer Masterclass, Fine Sea food, olives, condiments & Spirits Masterclass and the Honey & Herbs and tea Masterclass.
Undoubtedly, the most “intoxicating” point will be the one of “Drink Greece – DRINK MEZZE», where the talented bartender Costas Basis and his team will create cocktails based on our national drinks. Educational seminars and workshops will have as well their honorary post in the 6th EXPOTROF. Top wine authors, nutritionists, wine and taste critics, will prove the uniqueness of Greek products through the world of wine and the correct diet.
